Workshop on China, the Digital Economy and the Juncker Plan – Brussels – Committee of the Regions – June 4, 2015

The Juncker plan is a great opportunity for Europe to relaunch strategic investments in telecom infrastructure and advanced digital services. At the same time, it is also a great opportunity to increase the levels of Chinese investments into the European economy and encourage technological partnerships between the European and the Chinese ICT industry.

To make the best of this opportunity, ChinaEU is arranging a workshop entitled China, the Digital Economy and the EU investment Plan, to be hosted by theCommittee of the Regions, in Brussels on June 4th, from 14:00 to 17:30.

The workshop aims at giving European regions and cities the opportunity to present their most innovative projects concerning digital infrastructure and services to an audience of potential investors from China’s banking world, and allow for best practice sharing among the ICT industry.

Yang Yanyi, Head of China’s Mission to the EU, and Markku Markkula, President of the Committee of the Regions, will deliver keynote speeches at the opening of the workshop. Other speakers include high-level representatives of the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, the biggest Chinese banks, and the ICT industry.
