Tablet connections to increase 66% in 2015

The adoption of tablets and e-books in the U.S. is growing among minority and low-income populations, with:

  • 45 percent of Latinos own a tablet, 16 percent read an e-book in 2013.
  • 34 percent of African-Americans own a tablet, while 30 percent read an e-book in 2013.
  • 26 percent of low-income adults (with a household income of less than $30,000) own a tablet while 14 percent read an e-book in 2013.
