TELECOM: Head of IT & Security Compliance
Mr. Mazzilli was born in Corato (Bari) on May 15, 1966. He is married and has a son. Since February 8, 2012 he has been head of IT & Security Compliance in Telecom Italia, after being head of IT Risk & Security Governance in TI Audit & Compliance Services Scarl. After getting a degree in Electronic Engineering (Telecommunications area) with SIP on the job training in PON networks (with activity undertaken at the CSELT in Turin), he started his professional career in Industrial Services in Bari in 1994, later joining Telecom Italia’s Business Division in Milan for Top Clients Planning. In 1998 he entered Omnitel, Information Technology, working abroad for considerable periods (Germany and Ireland) and in 1999 was appointed head of the Software Factory and Client Management in Omnitel2000.
From 2000 al 2001 he was in charge of OSS Systems in Albacom and a member of the OSS Steering Group in British Telecom. In 2001 he became head of the Infrastructures Development Division in Sequenza S.p.A. and in
2002 joined Fiat S.p.A. as Vice-President Security & Telecommunications with world wide responsibility for Group TLC and the title of Group Information System Security Officer, as well as being appointed to the Board of Directors of Atlanet S.p.A. (a Fiat/Acea/Telefonica joint venture). In Fiat he became a member of the Joint Advisor Committee of Global Value (a Fiat/IBM joint venture), the ICT Strategic Committee, the Group Purchasing Committee of Expert and coordinator of the Committee for the Protection of Group Information. With the arrival of the new management (2004), he also undertook the operational roles of Chief Technology Officer and Information System
Security Officer in Fiat Auto S.p.A. In 2005 he entered the Telecom Italia Group, where he was appointed to increasingly major roles: after entering Telecom Italia as head of IT Risk Management in the Group IT Governance, in 2007 he was appointed to head IT Risk & Security Governance. In 2009, after a reorganisation, this responsibility was extended to IT compliance, and the function was transferred to in TI Audit & Compliance Services Scarl.
