Ola Bergström

Director of International Affairs, Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS)

Ola Bergström is the Director for International Affairs at the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS), the  governmental authority in Sweden that regulates the electronic communications (including telecommunications, IT and radio) and postal sectors.

Mr Bergström is responsible for coordinating all international activities at PTS. PTS is chairing the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) during 2014 and Mr Bergström is responsible for the Chair’s Office.

Mr Bergström has more than 10 years of working experience in ICT regulation. Prior to his current position he worked as a Senior Legal Adviser at PTS mainly with access and price regulation. He has also worked in the Ministry of Enterprise on drafting legislative Acts in the ICT sector. Mr Bergström started his career in the sector at the Swedish Competition Authority, where he followed closely the Commission ICT related cases as well as handled national competition cases.

Mr Bergström holds an LL.M. from Lund University in Sweden and a European Master in Law and Economics.
