Grant has been at BskyB in the UK since 2010, as Head of Regulatory Policy in BB&T across a number of areas, including NGN.  Sky has been the fastest growing ISP in the UK for the last 3+ years. This followed 4 years at BT Global Services where he became responsible for BTGS regulatory teams outside of the UK.

Before coming to the UK, he was Head of Regulatory and Industry Affairs for 7 years at TelstraClear, the first and largest fixed-line competitor. Prior to that, he was CEO of TUANZ, the Telecommunications Users Association of New Zealand.

In 2000 he was elected to be a representative of the business constituency on ICANN’s DNSO and then GNSO (Generic Name Support Organisation) Council. He was re-elected to the GNSO three times before leaving in 2006 to come to London.  During his tenure at ICANN, he was also elected to the Council of Internet New Zealand (the body responsible for managing the .nz domain).
