Giuseppe Recchi

Telecom Italia

Giuseppe Recchi was born in 1964 and he is Chairman of the Board of Telecom Italia. Previously, he held the positions of Chairman of the board of Eni (2011 – 2014).

He is member of the Board of Directors of Exor Spa and GE Capitai Interbanca SpA; member of the Massachussetts Institute of Technology E.I. External Advisory Board.

He is also member of the executive committee of Confindustria (where he chairs the Foreign Investment Committee), the Italian Corporate Governance Committee, Aspen Institute Italia; member of the Board of Assonime (Association of Italian Joint Stock Companies); member of the Board of Directors of FEEM- Eni Enrico Mattei Foundation, the Italian Institute of Technology and Luiss Business School Advisory Board; member of the executive committee of Associazione Amici dell’Accademia dei Lincei. He is Vice President of the Italy-China Foundation, CoChair of the B20 Task Force on Improving Transparency and Anti-Corruption and Director of the World Economie Forum Partnering Against Corruption Initiative. He graduated in Engineering at Polytechnic of Turin. In 1989 started his career as entrepreneur at Recchi SpA, a generai contractor active in 25 Countries in the construction of high-tech public infrastructures. From 1994 to 1999 he served as Executive Chairman of Recchi America Inc., the U.S. branch of the Group, and then as Managing Director for International of Gruppo Ferrocemento-Recchi. In 1999 he joined Generai Electric, where he held several managerial positions in Europe and in the USA. He served as Director of GE Capitai Structure Finance Group; CEO of GE Capitai SFG Italia; Managing Director for Industriai M&A and Business Development of GE EMEA; President & CEO of GE Italy. Until May 2011 he was President & CEO of GE South Europe. He has been member of the Europea n Advisory Board of Blackstone, of the Board of Permasteelisa SpA, of the Advisory Board of Invest Industriai (private equity), of the Honorary Committee for the Rome Candidacy to the 2020 Olympic Games, and visiting Professar in Corporate Finance at Turin University (2004-2006).
